About Dr. Abe Senbel
Coach Abe Senbel is originally from Casablanca, Morocco. He has over 20 years of soccer experience as a player, referee, coach, and trainer. While in Morocco, he played on several local clubs in Casablanca in the U12-U16 divisions. In 1989 Coach Abe was also a player on Lenoir Rhyne College in Hickory, NC.
Coach Abe has over 15 years of experience as an educator who worked with kids in the capacity of a school administrator, teacher, and mentor. He holds a BA in French Ed, MA in School Administration, MA in Teaching Foreign Languages, and Ed.D. in Education Leadership. His educational
background and soccer experience continue to have a tremendous influence on the unique aspects and qualities of Tots N Tikes Soccer.
His indirect teaching method is a philosophy he adopted based on best teaching and learning practices in the classroom. Aware of the importance of providing young children a safer and more comfortable environment where they can learn, discover, be more curious, and have fun, Coach Abe infused elements of the National Physical Education Curriculum Standards, parent participation, and use of variety of equipments as integral parts of the program.
