SoccerPen is a multi-functional system developed by Abe Senbel (Patent Pending) for training and play. The system is designed to function as an enclosure to keep the ball in play and eliminate wasted time retrieving the constant out of bound balls. SoccerPen is used to practice dribbling, shooting, passing, and play small-sided games in a small space. SoccerPen is a custom netting panel, 2' x 40' white with 1 inch squares - with vinyl and grommets on all four sides.  For stability, safety, flexibility, and strength, we use fiberglass posts.

* Easy to set up and dismantle
* Durable as it can be used in all weather conditions

* Used as a rebounder. 

The system is designed with the following goals in mind: 
1. Maximize movement within a small space.
2. Increase touch on the ball, especially for players who are  not as skilled or as fast as others. 
3. Decrease wasted time retrieving the ball.
4.  Increase players' enthusiasm and focus.

Interesting Statistics
Data gathered from watching U6 and U8 players showed the following:
* 60% to 75% of the games time was wasted retrieving out of bound balls
* Most players touched the balls less
* More skilled players touched the ball a lot more than their average or less average skilled teammates

When the same age groups played in the SoccerPen, the following observations were made:
* Players moved more toward the ball
* All players' ball touch increased considerably
* Scoring opportunities were increased 
* Players looked focused and engaged
